1.   DAVID BOREANAZ

Passed up the role of Batman in Batman Begins. I think he made a wise choice, everyone knows it’s better to be on a mediocre TV show than in the biggest movie franchise in the world.

2.   JOHN TRAVOLTA

Turned down the role of Forrest Gump. I’m with you on this one John, Oscars are overrated. So when’s the sequel to Battlefield Earth coming out? Never? Oh… how about another Old Dogs, titled Old Dogs: Ruff Times? Swordfish 2? Luckily for him he’s a level 12 Qargon in Scientology, so he gets to ride shotgun in the spaceship during the apocalypse. Jokes on all of us.

3.   DOUGRAY SCOTT

Who? Exactly. This guy passed on the opportunity to be Wolverine in X-Men. He should fire his agent.

4.   MARK WAHLBERG JOAQUIN PHOENIX

The two actors decided against the lead roles in Brokeback Mountain. Wahlberg has been quoted as saying he and Joaquin were ”a little creeped out” by the sex scenes. I was going to make a witty remark about how they missed out on Academy Award nominations, accolades, etc but I have to agree with them.

5.  NICOLAS CAGE

This man turend down the role of Neo in The Matrix and The Green Goblin in Spider-Man. Here is a list of some films Nic Cage has done over the past decade: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Knowing, Bangkok Dangerous, National Treasure (1&2), Next, Ghost Rider, The Wicker Man, The Weather Man, Captain Correlis Mandolin. Bravo!

6.   MOLLY RINGWALD

This red nightmare was almost cast as the prostitue made famous by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Let’s all thank god we dodged that bullet and didn’t have her in our lives the past twenty years, the 80s were plenty.

7.   TOM HANKS

Let Tom Cruise be Jerry McGuire. Well, you win some, you lose some Tom. Luckily for you, you win more than you lose. Also you didn’t have to spend the last thirteen years listening to people ask you to “help them, help you,” or yelling “show me the money.” Well played Hanks, well played.

8. SEAN CONNERY

Was given the role of Gandolf in The Lord of the Rings series but turned it down. In the original offer he was promised 15% of all the films revenue which means he missed out on $400 million. Luckily he’s James Bond and a major badass, so he probably doesn’t care.

9.   TOM SELLECK

He was originally cast as Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts with his hit television show at the time Magnum, PI. Good call, TV’s the way to go, I hear those Indian Jones movies weren’t that popular anyways.

10.   STEPHEN BALDWIN

Passed on the role of Officer Jack Traven in SpeedWhich Baldwin is Stephen again? Oh right, he’s the dumb one. All jokes aside I hear he was spectacular as Sir. Barney Rubble in The Flintstones 2: Viva Rock Vegas.
